Foot Levelers

Custom Orthotic Foot Levelers from our Sebastian Chiropractor, Dr. Michael David

Here at David Chiropractic, LLC, we can optimize your health and wellness from head to toe -- literally. Many alignment problems either start from, or contribute to, problems in the way your feet support your body, resulting in aches, pains, and other symptoms at any point along your musculoskeletal system. Thanks to Dr. David, our Sebastian chiropractor, and his use of state-of-the-art Foot Levelers orthotics, we can compensate for any abnormalities that may be causing or aggravating these symptoms.

Woman with foot pain needs Foot Levelers.

The Benefits of Custom Orthotics

Standing or walking may not seem like major accomplishments to you, but they actually require a complex set of musculoskeletal balances and interactions. Your weight is distributed through your spinal column, hips joints, knees, ankles, and feet in a phenomenon known as the kinetic chain. Your feet's arches play a critical role in balancing and supporting this weight, not only as you stand still but also with every step you take. An abnormality such as flat feet or high arches cannot only cause foot strains such as plantar fasciitis, but it can also throw your kinetic chain off-kilter. This can lead to nerve impingement, muscular strain, and premature joint degeneration throughout your body.

Custom orthotics such as foot Levelers solve this problem by providing individualized correction to arch-related strains and imbalances. Unlike the generic store-bought orthotic insoles, which can only provide generalized correction at best, Foot Levelers custom orthotics are designed to compensate for your one-of-a-kind structural irregularities. This provides your arches with the exact amount of cushioning they need to support the rest of your body properly.

A Helpful Part of an Integrated Treatment Plan

Our Sebastian chiropractor, Dr. Michael David, can determine whether arch abnormalities are impairing your musculoskeletal balance and weight distribution, or whether an imbalance higher up in the kinetic chain is causing foot problems (or possibly both). We can obtain a precise digital scan of both feet by having you stand in our Foot Levelers kiosk. This device records precise impressions of your arches and how weight is being distributed across each foot. If you need orthotics, we will send the data to Foot Levelers and have a customized pair of insoles fabricated for your feet. at the same time, we may administer chiropractic adjustments to correct other alignment issues in the weight-bearing joints, as well as physiotherapy to soothe overworked muscles and diet or lifestyle changes to reduce everyday musculoskeletal strain.
